An internal market operates within an organisation or even placed of organisations which own decoupled internal components. Both components trades its services & interfaces by having a others. Typically the placed of government or even government-funded placed of organisations may work an internal market. Services provided by an internal market come typically but not universally available on the Open market.

In the United Kingdom, the BBC under John Birt introduced an internal market amongst its different components - Technology, Productiin, News and so on.

In the EU, an internal market is said to operate between different countries & national governments.
